TCH Leasing is developing a proactive service management solution for its clients with the help of connected vehicle technology from Targa Telematics.

The collaboration will support TCH by offering alerts about the vehicle’s condition in advance, helping avoid unplanned vehicle off-road (VOR) situations and preserve the vehicle’s health. This will in turn help clients through reduced vehicle downtime.

The work draws on Targa’s relationships with vehicle manufacturers, analysing data from embedded sensors within TCH Leasing’s vehicles, including odometer readings, service countdowns and dashboard warning lamps.

This then enables TCH Leasing to strategically plan vehicle maintenance, reduce VOR incidents and pre-book courtesy vehicles when necessary. It also enables increased proactivity in dealing with any potential issues indicated by the vehicle’s warning lamps, minimising potential damage to the vehicle

While using OEM data, including a fast and simple remote activation process, Targa can also install its own devices to transmit the required information, allowing TCH Leasing to cover the entire fleet, regardless of the brand or model of the vehicles.

Targa is also supporting TCH with fleet security through a stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) solution that enables swift recovery in the event of theft.
