Telematics platform Wialon continues free access and service for Ukraine businesses
Global IoT and telematics platform Wialon is continuing to supply free access and services to telematics service providers in Ukraine, helping businesses maintain operations.
Developed by Gurtam, a leading European software developer of GPS tracking and IoT solutions, the platform has been offered for free to business partners and clients in Ukraine since the conflict first began in February 2022.
Although the conflict has caused significant disruptions to supply chains and the transportation of goods across the Ukraine, Ukrainian businesses still continue to operate and ties with international business partners are unsevered.
To help support its clients, Wialon has waived all the hosting fees for applications on the platform and has upgraded all Wialon Local licences for Ukrainian telematics service providers, logistics solutions developers or fleet management solutions providers. The free support so far has amounted to over €500,000 (£442,600).
Viktor Zavgorodnyuk, СEO Monitorland, GPS vehicle monitoring and Wialon partner in Ukraine, said: “In this time of military hostilities, we have managed to help, maintain and develop the businesses of thousands of customers, providing stable service conditions and quality support. Free access to Wialon means we are able to save 100% of jobs and provide financial support to our employees, including those actively defending Ukraine. All this is possible because of the huge support from Wialon. Together we can overcome anything.”
Aliaksandr Kuushynau, head of Wialon at Gurtam, added: “Despite the devastating conditions in Ukraine, many businesses strived to continue operations, as it is crucial to continue supporting Ukraine’s economy and their employees. As a platform that is built together with a hardworking and dedicated community, helping our partners is a part of Wialon’s DNA. Throughout the conflict, we have provided support for our Ukrainian partners, which we will continue to do. We are infinitely inspired by the Ukrainian people’s ability to stay strong and united in the face of adversity.”
Due to the political situation, Gurtam also fully terminated all business operations in Russia at the start of the conflict and moved its HQ from Minsk to Lithuania.
Founded in 2002, Gurtam operates across the globe, supported by a team of more than 300 professionals from different countries. Its mission is to create and develop advanced telematics solutions that help solve modern business problems, increase efficiency and help achieve new goals.
Its GPS tracking platform has some 3.4 million assets connected all over the globe, and the figure is fast growing as the company continues its work to help businesses from any field use telematics to solve their business challenges.
