Toyota to take back global sales crown
The publication has reported Toyota’s bounce back from the effects of last year’s tsunami and that it will retake the lead position on global sales from GM, with a target of over 9.75 million units for 2012.
Meanwhile GM is in a fierce battle for second place with VW. According to Bloomberg, the two manufactures are separated by less than 1% as we head into the final weeks of the year.
For the first three-quarters of 2012, Toyota sold 7.4 million units, with GM at 6.95 million and VW on 6.9 million.
