New fleet and asset management software that could help operators increase efficiency, cost savings and safety has launched in the UK from Tracker.

The iOn telematics solution has been developed by Tracker’s parent company CalAmp and delivers business-critical data to fleets

Already available across the United States and in Italy, the iOn telematics solution has been developed by Tracker’s parent company CalAmp and provides access to a user-friendly tracking tool that will not only improve workflow, but also deliver business-critical data to drive value to fleet operators.

It’s based on an intuitive user interface (UI) that provides a fully integrated view of vehicles, drivers and associated assets, enabling managers of commercial, transport & logistics, rental and construction fleets to make more relevant and informed business decisions in real time.

Key benefits include workflow efficiency, with the help of intuitive dashboards, map layering and asset breadcrumb trails that provide an holistic view of an entire fleet and drivers, allowing operators to proactively manage operations from a desktop, tablet or mobile phone.

It can also drive safety improvements through on-demand access to dashboards, reports and alerts, offering in-the-moment intervention to address critical issues such as vehicle failures, dangerous driving behaviour and collisions.

The new tool can also create cost savings and enhance visibility of all vital assets, enabling smoother, more efficient and safer operational workflows.

A rolling programme of innovation will see additional benefits launch in the UK in the coming months, including Bluetooth-enabled iOn Tags, a smart proximity sensor that can be fixed to assets of any size and assist in a quick recovery.

The iOn Vision video intelligence solution will also arrive shortly, providing contextual insights into driver performance to improve fleet safety.

Mark Rose, managing director for Tracker, commented: “The launch of CalAmp’s iOn software here in the UK sees Tracker confirming its commitment to the fleet telematics marketplace, delivering tried-and-tested solutions that have been successfully embraced by commercial and small- to medium-sized fleet customers of our parent company in the US.”
