VisionTrack is to deploy new behaviour AI that could warn help prevent collisions with vulnerable road users.

The addition of behaviour AI tech to VisionTrack’s Autonomise.ai solution will enable drivers to receive real-time warnings of possible collisions with vulnerable road users

The video telematics and computer vision specialist has signed a deal to use Humanising Autonomy’s behaviour AI for its Autonomise.ai video telematics solution, which launched last year.

The addition of behaviour AI tech will enable drivers to receive real-time warnings of possible collisions with vulnerable road users; in particular this will significantly improve road safety for pedestrians in cities, according to the firms.

By enhancing vehicle camera technology with the ability to accurately analyse and predict human behaviours, the technology aims to generate earlier alerts to the driver with a higher degree of accuracy than traditional ADAS systems.

Moreover, the platform will also enhance VisionTrack’s ability to identify safety challenges and identify key coaching opportunities for fleet customers by better analysing incident statistics and trends using advanced behavioural insight.

Richard Lane, commercial director of VisionTrack, said: “Humanising Autonomy’s Behaviour AI Platform will help to better support and protect drivers and ultimately save lives on the road. We are truly passionate about road safety and driver welfare, so we are thrilled about our new partnership with Humanising Autonomy. Together we will deliver cutting-edge technologies that not only benefit our customers, but all road users.”
