Volue, which provides technologies and services to support the energy transition, has added EVBox to its Spark partner ecosystem.

EVBox’s electric vehicle charging solutions will now be integrated into Volue’s Spark ecosystem

The ecosystem, available across Europe and the Nordics, is designed to maximise the potential of smart charging services for automakers, EV fleets and charging operators. It provides a range of partnerships and services that seamlessly integrate connected resources – such as rooftop solar, batteries and electric vehicles – within a sustainable and scalable neighbourhood energy system.

EVBox’s electric vehicle charging solutions will now be integrated into the offer. Founded in 2010, the business has delivered more than 500,000 charging ports to its partners and customers globally. Its solutions include charging stations for residential, commercial and fast-charging network usage, as well as charging management software.

Kjetil Storset, Spark lead at Volue said: “Through the power of partnership, we’re driving innovation in the world of electric vehicle charging. By harnessing the insights of volatile energy prices and grid constraints, courtesy of Spark, we empower partners to choose the optimal moments to charge EVs, not only saving on their energy costs but also nurturing a greener, more sustainable energy landscape.

“We are delighted to see this partnership grow with today’s announcement. EVBox strives to empower society to embrace electric mobility and their vision, paired with those in our Spark ecosystem, will support the seamless integration of connected resources within a sustainable and scalable neighbourhood energy system.”

EVBox said the two firms shared a mission to provide solutions for a sustainable future.

Geir Bjørnstad, regional director Nordics, added: “We believe that we’ve entered the electric era where electric driving is becoming the new norm. Integrated and connected solutions are needed to make this transition for current and future electric car drivers as seamless as possible.”
