Volvo is launching a new V60 Cross Country following the arrival of the standard estate model this summer.

The new Volvo V60 Cross Country

Bringing a rival to the Audi A4 Allroad, the V60 Cross Country features a bespoke chassis and suspension alongside standard all-wheel drive. It also builds on its off-road credentials with standard Hill Descent Control, Electronic Stability Control, Corner Traction Control and a special Off-Road driving mode.

As with all Volvo Cross Country models, it also features higher seating position and increased ground clearance – up 75mm on the standard model – as well as rugged lower body cladding.

Standard features also include the City Safety with Autobrake driver assistance tech from the conventional V60, plus Run-off Road Mitigation, Oncoming Lane Mitigation and other steering assistance systems are standard.

Depending on the market, the new V60 Cross Country will be available with a T5 AWD petrol powertrain and a D4 AWD diesel engine. Mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants will follow at a later stage.
