Vulog, a European specialist in car sharing technology, is to expand into the US, as it continues to build on its successes in Europe and Canada.

Vulog's car sharing technology

Vulog’s car sharing technology has facilitated more than 10 million trips so far in 2016.

Founded in 2006 by Georges Gallais and David Emsellem, the company offers end-to-end solutions enabling mobility operators to launch large-scale car-sharing services aided by a fleet management back office and white-labelled Mobile Apps. The technology has facilitated more than 10 million trips so far in 2016.

The firm is now primed to bring its platform to the US, fuelled by a $9.44M investment in 2015 and will look to expand its partnerships with various operators in the US and globally in the next year.

2017 will also see Vulog showcase its developments for the free-floating, connected car at January’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. The firm will then head to Michigan to attend Automobili-D at the Detroit Auto Show, where the company will further unveil its plans for the US market.

“Consumers are increasingly demanding new mobility services in their city to go from A to B with simple, efficient and affordable solutions,” said Gregory Ducongé, CEO of VULOG. “We expect behaviours and expectations to continue evolving; this is still the beginning of the urban mobility revolution and VULOG is very well positioned for this tremendous opportunity.”
