By / 10 years ago / News / No Comments

In addition to the 114PS models, the vehicles will now be offered with the 140PS engine, which offers torque of 340Nm over 1,750 to 2,500rpm and is paired up with a standard six-speed gearbox. As well as featuring a stop-start system, the BlueMotion models offer regenerative braking, low rolling resistance tyres, modified engine management and aerodynamic modifications in the form of a lower ride height.

Fuel consumption for the 140PS Transporter BlueMotion is 6.2l/100km, with CO2 emissions of 164g/km. Compared to the conventional version with the same power output, the new BlueMotion model is said to save up to 1.2l/100km without imposing any limitations on dynamic performance or payload.

Fuel consumption values of the 140PS five-seat Multivan BlueMotion are similar, with a combined fuel consumption of 6.4l/100km and CO2 emissions of 169g/km – up to 1.1l/100km less fuel than the standard version.

Prices for Germany have been announced as €28,625 (without VAT) for the Transporter BlueMotion and €39,240.25 (including VAT) for the Multivan BlueMotion.
