Webfleet to automatically connect with Renault Group cars and vans
Webfleet’s OEM.connect programme is expanding to include Renault Group vehicles in Europe from the second half of 2023.
It means that the group’s passenger and light commercial vehicles, including the Dacia brand, that have line-fitted connectivity will be able to connect with Webfleet’s service platform without the need for aftermarket hardware installation.
This in turn will make it easier, faster and cheaper for fleet managers to use telematics technology, delivering extensive operational insights.
With OEM.connect, Renault Group vehicles will be able to transmit vehicle data directly to the Webfleet fleet management solution. Fleets just need the vehicle identification number (VIN) to connect.
By accessing the standard Webfleet applications, fleets with Renault Group vehicles can streamline their operations and maximise performance, reducing operating costs and encouraging green and safe driving.
The group is the latest to join the expanding OEM.connect programme, which enables businesses to stay connected to their vehicles at all times and get alerts on everything needed to control costs and safety.
“We are excited to welcome Renault Group to our OEM.connect programme,” said Taco van der Leij, vice president of Webfleet Europe at Bridgestone Mobility Solutions.
“Having another popular car manufacturer joining the programme underlines the added value OEM.connect is creating for our joint customers and highlights the importance of telematics data and their actionable insights for fleets.”
