Winners revealed for 2017 World Car of the Year

This year’s World Car of the Year winners have been revealed at the New York Motor Show, with the Jaguar F-Pace taking the overall title.

Jaguar F-Pace: World Car of the Year 2017.

The F-Pace, which was also named World Car Design of the Year, was chosen from an initial entry list of 23 vehicles, which was whittled down a short list of 10 and the three finalists announced at Geneva and also including the Q5 and VW Tiguan.

The full list of winners are:

2017 World Car of the Year: Jaguar F-Pace
2017 World Luxury Car: Mercedes-Benz E-Class
2017 World Performance Car: Porsche Boxster Cayman
2017 World Car Design of the Year: Jaguar F-Pace
2017 World Green Car: Toyota Prius Prime
2017 World Urban Car: BMW i3 (94Ah)
