Roller coaster ride continues for true fleet market in Germany

True fleet registrations in Germany saw positive growth in July, continuing the roller coaster ride seen so far this year.

The German market recorded growth of 7.3% for the true fleet sector last month.

Latest figures from Dataforce show growth of 7.3% for the true fleet sector last month with 2.0% growth year to date despite the record volumes seen in 2016.

July’s growth compares to a 1.9% rise in the private market and a 2.4% decline in special channels. Overall, the total market finished up by 1.5% with just over 283,000 registrations.

Within the brand ranking, the first eight positions in remained unchanged with Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes on the podium followed by BMW, Ford, Skoda, Opel and Renault. SEAT gained one pace with growth of 46.2% while Peugeot completed the top 10. Outside the Top 10 Citroen and Volvo put in notable performances, with double-digit growths of 68.5% and 32.7% respectively.
