Innovative work by Abax and Greater Than to revamp the insurance sector has been acknowledged by FinTech Global in its 2022 report.

Greater Than developed a new insurance product for Abax to be launched together with Tryg insurance

The information services specialist runs an annual list of 100 of the world’s most innovative insurtech companies, selected by a panel of industry experts and analysts.

Insurtech and AI tech company Greater Than has now been listed for the third time – and the case study used in the 2022 FinTech Global list homes in on the company’s work with telematics firm Abax as proof for future innovation.

The case study showcases the firms’ work to introduce new dynamic and customer-centric insurance. In August 2022, Abax revealed it had entered the insurance market together with Tryg Insurance Norway. By analysing Abax data with the focus on driving behaviour risks, Greater Than developed a new insurance product for Abax to be launched together with Tryg insurance.

“We are proud to showcase the strengths of our new insurance offering in this customer case. It really demonstrates how our excellent collaboration made it possible to launch the best insurance offering in the B2B industry,” said Abax head of insurance, Jørgen Johansson Skalleberg.

With the use of AI technology from Greater Than, Abax can identify the company’s risk score and offer more personalised solutions. The technology helps insurers such as Tryg to provide a risk- and user-based insurance premium that is equitable.

“Being recognised by InsurTech100 for the third time is a great honour for us, and it truly demonstrates the power and impact that our AI technology and our end-to-end solutions have on the market,” added Liselott Johansson, CEO at Greater Than.

The FinTech Global Insurtech100 list analyses more than 1,400 companies and helps senior management and insurance professionals evaluate which digital insurance models have market potential and are most likely to succeed.
