Telematics company Abax has appointed Emma Dyga as its new chief executive officer.

Emma Dyga, CEO at Abax

She replaces Morten Strand who will assume the position of vice chairman of the board, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and strategic partnerships.

Dyga, an experienced leader in software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, will lead Abax with its next phase of growth.

The business was founded in 2003 and has grown to become one of Europe’s largest mobility data companies. Its open, data-agnostic smart mobility data platform helps customers reduce costs, optimise operations, and improve sustainability, efficiency, and safety.

Dyga joins from her previous role as chief operating officer at Stockholm-based MarTech and e-commerce solutions provider QNTM Group, where she helped scale the company and develop its operations. She previously served as CEO of APSIS, a digital marketing software provider.

Abax board chair Nick Day said Dyga’s expertise in software and technology were a valuable addition to the company’s growth plans.

He commented: “As a global company with a presence in eight countries, Abax has grown significantly from a start-up to a global leader in telematics, and we have full confidence that Emma is the right leader for this role. We thank Morten for his years of dedication to the Abax team and look forward to working with Emma in this next phase.”

Dyga added: “As mobility demands pivot to meet macro realities, Abax’s software platform will enable companies to deliver on sustainability goals as well as leverage risk reductions and operational efficiencies. I look forward to partnering with the Abax team, with their extensive experience in building a transformative software company, as we serve our growing customer and strategic partner base.”
