The Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) has confirmed it will return to the Great British Fleet Event, promoting the benefits of membership.

At the show, AFP Board members will be happy to chat all things fleet, offer advice or hear about how fleets are overcoming challenges

At the 2024 GBFE, which takes place on Wednesday 17 April at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes, the AFP stand will be manned by members of the Board who are happy to chat all things fleet, offer a listening ear/advice to anyone with a challenge or issue, or indeed, on the other side, hear about how fleets are overcoming challenges.

The industry association will also answer any questions attendees have about any of the training it runs through the AFP Fleet Academy. New courses for 2024 include the launch of the ‘Accelerate – Your Voice in Fleet’ training, designed to help fleet professionals make their voices heard in a corporate environment.

The AFP has also introduced a new committee to tackle equality, diversity and inclusion in the fleet sector, working to break down barriers in the workplace.

The new initiatives further the existing work by the AFP to improve market conditions for everyone involved in running a corporate fleet in the UK and elevate the standards within the industry.

The not-for-profit body works as the collective voice of national fleet operators and strives to support, educate and train the corporate fleet industry.

A spokesperson for the association said: “The AFP is all about networking, support and collaboration so the GBFE is the perfect place for us to be! Membership of the AFP is open to all and we encourage all attendees to come and say hi. If people are new to the industry or don’t really know many people attending, our stand is a welcoming, safe space for people to come and have a chat.”

The AFP is one of a large number of pre-eminent fleet organisations that will be at the 2024 Great British Fleet Event. As with previous years, the show offers a ‘3-in-1’ format of informative Masterclass conference sessions, a busy exhibition section and the evening’s black-tie gala dinner – where the fleet sector’s pre-eminent operators, automakers and service firms will be recognised for their work in the Great British Fleet Awards.
