Daimler Fleet Management UK Ltd has rebranded to Athlon UK, reinforcing its focus on multi-marque fleet and mobility solutions.

Patricia Wolfe, managing director Athlon UK

The rebrand follows Daimler’s 2016 acquisition of European leasing firm Athlon from the Dutch firm Rabobank and will see Athlon become the fleet and mobility management expert in the Daimler group, operated by Daimler Mobility AG.

In the UK, Athlon will operate some 14,000 vehicles, including ULEVs, but also pioneering new mobility solutions and new concepts in leasing. It will target both public sector and private fleets, covering operators both small and large.

Patricia Wolfe, managing director Athlon UK, explained: “As Athlon, we will continue to provide the most sustainable and tailor-made mobility solutions for our customers. Our multi-marque fleet provision delivers unrivalled vehicle access and a wide range of funding options, ranging from short-term rental through to full contract hire with repair and maintenance packages to suit all needs, making Athlon the perfect fit for any fleet set-up or budget.”

She added: “With a fleet of more than 14,000 units, we have the expertise to support businesses to navigate through changing regulations, for example by introducing electric vehicles into fleets.”
