Tesla has reached the landmark of 200,000 vehicle deliveries in the UK, a decade after first deliveries of the Model S began.

With the UK recently celebrating 1,000,000 electric vehicles sold, it means almost a fifth of all EVs on UK roads are Teslas.

Michael Oates, country sales and delivery manager, said: “Reaching this milestone of 200,000 deliveries shows how far Tesla have contributed to the UK’s transition to sustainable energy. More and more customers are not just looking towards Tesla as an option for sustainability, but also for safety and affordability.”

Safety accreditations include the Model Y’s 2022 coup of securing the highest Overall Score among any vehicle tested under Euro NCAP’s newest, most stringent test protocol at the time.

Tesla has also significantly cut UK prices for its Model 3 and Model Y in the last year amid an increasingly competitive marketplace.

The brand also recently launched the upgraded Model 3 in the UK, offering more range, technology and refinement and priced from £39,990.

The brand has also credited its sales success to its “robust” direct-to-customer sales and service model across 40 locations in the UK. Its mobile servicing feature – which allows customers to arrange for a vehicle service whether at home or whilst at the office – is also widely used and the brand says it services 50% of all its vehicles in this way. The company is also building its second Tesla Body Repair Centre in the UK, building confidence in its own parts and repair network in addition to its 65+ Tesla Approved Body Repair Centres.

The Supercharger network is also highly rated by drivers for its reliability and convenience – the UK has more than 1,400 Superchargers at 140 locations.
