The AlphaElectric four-stage electrification consultancy is Alphabet fleets comprehensive eMobility approach for corporate fleets. It simplifies electric vehicle integration because customers receive a complete package, from the optimal mix of cars to the charging facilities and smart charge cards.

In addition AlphaCity is Alphabet Fleet’s Corporate CarSharing solution. It enhances car pool efficiency, lowers mobility costs and serves as a great employee incentive. AlphaCity cars are conveniently reserved online or via an app and keylessly accessed and started. Booking fees are automatically allocated to the right department and if employees want to use the cars privately, they can do so by simply paying with their credit cards.

Carsten Kwirandt, head of marketing and business development at Alphabet International, said: ‘Every customer has different needs and challenges. Through a comprehensive consulting approach we respond to individual requirements by creating tailor-made mobility solutions such as AlphaCity and AlphaElectric. Our priority is to offer our customers products and services that are sustainable, cost-efficient and, of course, innovative.’

The launch of the two products was linked in with the Brisbane Global Café – an exclusive international thought leadership forum held at Brisbane City Hall and a precursor to the 2014 G20 Leaders Summit. The launch involved a unique electric vehicle drive programme allowing delegates to test drive a variety of electric vehicles around the streets of Brisbane. Models ranged from the newly launched BMW i3, Nissan LEAF, Holden Volt, Mitsubishi Outlander and the Renault Kangoo, and received great interest with over 80 participants taking up the opportunity.

The event also saw Christian Steiner, head of mobility services at BMW Group, speek in a session titled “New World Cities: A Window into the Future”. Christian Steiner discussed how new ways of building cities and moving people within them will create a new set of challenges and opportunities for cities in the future.
