The product has been well received in the UK where it was launched in 2013. The technology provides real-time visual and audible training, whilst also providing fleet managers with a simple, user-friendly, weekly report containing at-a-glance insights into fleet performance and confirmation of sustained fuel and CO2 savings.

José M Sánchez of Disvent Ingenieros said: ‘We were very excited to discover Lightfoot. It is a truly unique and clever product and we anticipate that it will be very appealing to the Spanish fleet market. We have completed our translation of the Lightfoot® website into Spanish and we are now contacting all companies across Spain that own large fleets. We have plenty of units ready in stock and the team at Ashwoods are providing us with training on how to fit the system so that we can manage everything ourselves here in Spain.’

Mark Roberts, managing director, Ashwoods Lightfoot Ltd, said: ‘We are thrilled to be working with Disvent Ingenieros. It’s great seeing Lightfoot bringing tangible benefits to more and more of the UK’s largest and most innovative fleets and we’re continuing to sign new companies up for trial each month. We are ambitious about extending our reach into Europe and with Disvent Ingenieros on board, Spain is an exciting first step.’

Ashwoods Lightfoot Ltd has signed a new deal with Disvent Ingenieros, a well-established supplier of satellite communication systems and other electronic equipment to the Spanish marine industry, to sell its Lightfoot in-cab driver efficiency system.
