AssetWorks breaks into rental management software for fleets

Fleet management software specialist AssetWorks is launching into the rental sector with a complete solution.

The Assetworks webinar will introduce the new rental module and discus the concept of switching from Ownership to Usership

Its new AssetWorks Rental offering provides an integrated, real-time module that manages all aspects of the rental process. It’s designed for fleet organisations that need to take charge of the short- and long-term hire of vehicles and ancillary equipment – and it supports the rental of internal assets as well as the renting from suppliers.

The latest expansion means AssetWorks now provides a complete ‘Fleet Ecosystem’ for operators, covering asset rental, fleet management, fuel, EV management, compliance and safety, telemetry, sustainability and decarbonisation tools and workshop apps. And the list goes on…

Mike Gadd, managing director, explained: “Since the beginning of the pandemic, fleet costs across the board have exponentially increased due to multiple factors, such as supply chain disruptions, inflation, and other market forces. As a consequence, fleet operators have to reexamine their vehicle replacement plans, and carefully evaluate usership versus ownership when procuring, AssetWorks Fleet Ecosystem & Rental software helps you make the right choice for your business.”

AssetWorks Rental supports multiple locations and includes the same flexible charging facilities already available within the FleetFocus suite. It supports the core rental process, including hire requests, booking, on-and-off-hire, billing, inspection and additional charges.

The new solution launches as fleet operators increasingly to move to a usership rather than ownership model for some/all areas of their fleet, helping to reduce the impact of the switch to electric while driving sustainability goals.

“The unknown drives agile practice; giving our customers the flexibility to manage how they obtain and distribute their fleet assets is the reason for launching or multifaceted Rental module,” said Simon West-Oliver, sales director.

Assetworks will run a webinar later this month introducing the new rental module and discussing the concept of Ownership to Usership, the benefits of renting assets and what AssetWorks rental module covers. The event take place on 16 November at 2pm GMT, hosted by Simon West-Oliver. Register here for access.
