Audi forms green energy partnership for A3 e-tron
The company sources its energy from hydro-electric power stations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with the origin and quality of the sources certified by TUV Nord.
It means A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid customers will be offered the Audi energy package for €8.95 per month, plus 26.76 cents per kilowatt-hour, supplying their home with green electricity and allowing the car to be driven with zero carbon emissions in its electric mode.
The A3 e-tron shares its drivetrain with the recently revealed Volkswagen Golf GTE, combining a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine and electric motor to offer CO2 emissions of 35g/km and 188.3mpg on the NEDC test.
Volkswagen Group has a similar partnership with green energy supplier Ecotricity in the UK, announced last October.
