New car security device uses remote GPS technology

By / 10 years ago / News / No Comments

The product plugs directly into the car diagnostic port and works in tandem with an app to immediately notify the driver with a loud warning sound in the event of the vehicle moving outside the lock area, the engine being started, the device being disconnected or if the GPS signal is lost through potential jamming attempts. CarLock will also issue alerts for when car batteries are low

While the app can be actively monitored, it is designed to work even when it is not running, giving a car complete round the clock protection at all times. The app can be easily downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store and is compatible with most smartphones – the device’s built-in cellular and GPS antenna also mean the connected phone’s performance and battery life is not affected in any way.

Current CarLock subscription plans are available across Europe and the UK, priced at €99 plus a monthly subscription fee of €4.90.
