Audi has debuted its On Demand carsharing scheme in Japan as it also expands the offering in Hong Kong.

The Audi On Demand service is now available in Tokyo.

Now available in Tokyo, the service offers a wide range of the latest Audi models available to book online for time periods ranging from four hours to up to 30 days with exact billing by the hour.

The all-in rate includes an exclusive concierge service for delivery and collection of the car as required, unlimited mileage and custom additional equipment such as child seats, cycle racks or roof racks.

The expansion into Japan comes as the service also gets three new mobility hubs in Hong Kong – including the service’s first-ever location in a shopping centre in the form of Pacific Place Mall. In total, the scheme now operates from six locations in Hong Kong and is also present in Beijing, San Francisco, Singapore and Munich.

Audi is planning to expand the network further before the end of the year as well as extending the offering at existing locations.

“After successfully launching the premium service Audi on demand, it’s time to start the scaling-up phase. From residential districts to now shopping malls, we are using our flexible concept to customise our locations to both local factors and customer requirements in a specific market. That will help us grow the number of users to six figures by the end of the year,” commented Bram Schot, Board of Management member for Marketing and Sales at Audi AG.
