Autorola UK appoints new head of sales for online remarketing platform

Chris Timms has joined the Autorola UK team as head of sales for its MarketPlace online remarketing platform.

Timms joins from Suzuki where he was a regional sales manager. Prior to that he spent 12 years at the Volkswagen Group including various roles in remarketing.

In his new role, Timms is responsible for growing MarketPlace to the next level with both buyers and vendors as part of Autorola UK’s ambition of doubling its business over the next three years.

First launched in 2003, MarketPlace has sold hundreds of thousands of used cars and vans. It has 2,000 active used vehicle buyers and up to 15,000 used vehicles for sale at any one time, making it one of the UK’s largest wholesale remarketing platforms.

The platform also hosts e-auctions for Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren and Porsche GB and their dealer networks.
