Car Charging Group has agreed to purchase and install charging stations across the United States including major metropolitan areas: New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, TX, Dallas, Fort Worth, TX, Orlando, Fla., Miami, Fla. and Tampa, Fla.

Coulomb's ChargePoint cloud-based EV charging solution is effortless to deploy and maintain, and requires no IT staff. ChargePoint service plans include features like: 24/7 driver support, flexible pricing, automated billing, remote station upgrades and integration with existing billing and IT systems. This allows Car Charging Group to maximise parking space utilisation and offer charging session reservations.

Pat Romano, president and chief executive officer at Coulomb Technologies, said: ‘ChargePoint turn-key EV charging solutions provide a rapid way for Car Charging Group to get their charging station operations deployed. We are proud to further extend our collaboration with Car Charging Group as they continue to strengthen themselves in the electric vehicle service provider segment.’

Michael Farkas (Inset), chief executive officer of Car Charging Group, commented: ‘We have a long-standing relationship with Coulomb, having already deployed charging stations on ChargePoint Network in the past 18 months. As more and more EVs arrive in US cities, the demand for infrastructure in public locations is growing.

‘Working with ChargePoint Network gives us a simple and convenient way to provide advanced EV services to our customers. ChargePoint Network attracts the largest number of EV drivers because stations are visible to any driver who uses the driver web site, the smart phone mobile apps, or a variety of navigation systems and allows drivers to see the real-time occupancy status of stations.’
