China vehicle market up 8.5% in May 2014

In total, 1.91 million vehicles were sold last month, with 1.59 million passenger car sold – up 14% compared to May 2013.

Year to date, 9.84 million vehicles were sold, up 9% from a year earlier.

CAAM has forecast that China's auto market, the world's biggest, would grow 8-10 per cent this year, slowing from last year's 13.9 per cent pace.

According to CAAM, China's vehicle market is forecast grow by up to 10% this year, down slightly compared to last year.
