Škoda reveals its first all-electric production model – the Citigo e iV.

The 36.8kWh battery pack is able to cover up to 165 miles to a single charge

Shown at the same time as the facelifted Superb and its hybrid iV model, is the Citigo e iV, Škoda’s first all-electric production model in the brands 124-year history.

Gone is the petrol engine to be replaced by an 82hp electric motor, with 210Nm of torque. Acceleration to 60mph takes 12.5 seconds, with a top speed of 81mph. As a result, the 36.8kWh battery pack is able to cover up to 165 miles between charges. Charging the battery to 80% can be done in only 60 minutes, using a 40kW DC fast charger. However, from a 7.2kW wallbox, it will take 4 hours and 8 minutes to reach the same charge.

Outside, this five-door only Citigo can be spotted by its colour-coded grille, revised front bumper and wing mirrors with the integral indicators.

Move inside and there’s redesigned black instrument panel, with a smartphone dock in the centre of the dashboard, which via a smartphone shows new mobile on-line services for battery management or air conditioning control via the ‘My Škoda’ app.

The Citigo e iV will go on sale in the UK early next year.
