The 2.0-litre engines are designed by the PSA Group and manufactured at the Trémery site in eastern France.

The units feature an exhaust line layout with the SCR catalyst positioned upline of the additive particulate filter to slash NOx emissions by up to 90% and CO2 emissions by up to 4%. Fuel consumption is reduced by more than 1 litre per 100 km compared with former-generation engines.

The brand added that the new engines deliver savings in both fuel and maintenance, helping the Jumper to offer maintenance intervals said to be among the best in its class – up to 50,000 km or two years – and helping the model to rank among the best for TCO.

Three units are offered: the BlueHDi 110, BlueHDi 130 and BlueHDi 160, with all units offering a choice of the choice of the six-speed manual or the S&S six-speed manual. Emissions range from 154-163g with fuel economy from 6.2l/100km to 6.7l/100km.
