Citroën to unveil C6 and E-Elysée at Beijing

The brand will also reveal its E-MEHARI all-electric four-seater cabriolet and its new ‘Advanced Comfort’ technology as it continues its offensive on China, which represented its biggest market in 2015, taking a quarter of its global sales.

The Citroën C6 will be unveiled by the brand’s Chinese joint venture, Dongfeng Citroën before going on sale at the end of the year. The 4.96m flagship saloon has been designed by the Styling Centre in Paris alongside the Shanghai team and will be built in Wuhan. Launch markets have not been announced.

Citroën will also present its ‘Advanced Comfort’ technology programme, which looks to improve ride and onboard comfort through improved suspension, seating and acoustics as well as enhanced features such as technology and lighting.

At Beijing, Dongfeng Citroën will also unveil an all-electric version of its E-Elysée premium saloon. The model is sheduled for launch in China in 2017 and come as the brand plans to become to be a key player in electric vehicles for the Chinese market.

Featuring a lithium-ion battery, E-Elysée has a range of up to 250km and can be fast-charged in 30 minutes, with a normal charge taking 6.5 hours.

The brand will also present its E-MEHARI all-electric four-seater cabriolet to the Chinese public for the first time.
