Citroën streamlines grade structure for car line-up

Citroën has introduced a streamlined equipment grade structure across its car line-up in Europe.

The revised line-up opens for orders from Friday 1 September

The new range is now based around three trims, called You, Plus and Max. These replace the existing Live, Feel, Feel Pack, Shine and Shine Pack versions.

The revised line-up opens for orders from Friday 1 September and is designed to make Citroën’s range easier to understand and more tailored to customer needs, while providing shorter delivery times.

The new trim levels have been adapted to customer preferences and lifestyles. For C4 and C4 X, for example, the entry-level You trim comes with standard equipment such as Advanced Comfort Suspension, connectivity features such as a 10-inch touchscreen combined with wireless smartphone mirroring, and driving assistance systems that include rear parking sensors. The Plus trim adds in Advanced Comfort seats, a rear-view camera and 18-inch aluminium wheels.

Finally, Max versions gain equipment to make on-board life easier, with hands-free access and connected navigation system, head-up display or even adaptive cruise control with the Stop & Go function. They also get tinted rear windows and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Limited edition versions will continue to be offered as highlights of each model range, such as the electric ë-Series collection for ë-C4, ë-C4 X, and C5 Aircross Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid.

At the same time, Citroën has rejigged its website to be more navigable and functional, allowing customers to obtain information about new models more easily, as part of its drive to simplify the consumer experience.

The brand has also revamped factory processes, optimising production, stock management and cost controls to augment its work on pricing and delivery lead times.

The changes to the model range are accompanied by the rollout of a pilot programme in Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, UK and Germany, offering a “fair price” policy to deliver competitive pricing without promotions. More details will follow.
