Run by the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety’s (NETS), this year’s Drive Safely Work Week campaign is entitled, “Drowsy, Distracted, or Focused…Your Decisions Drive Your Safety”. It highlights the responsibility each driver has to truthfully assess their behaviours, their abilities, and whether they are prepared to drive in a responsible manner

The American Automobile Association (AAA) estimates that one out of every six (16.5%) deadly traffic accidents, and one out of eight (12.5%) crashes requiring hospitalization of car drivers or passengers is due to drowsy driving.

Drive Safely Work Week offers businesses a free campaign toolkit to help educate employees on the importance of safety. For further informationa, visit www.trafficsafety.org
