The fully automated vehicle collection and delivery solution has been designed to allow users to automatically upload all electronic vehicle delivery and collection information directly into their back-office systems or into Ebbon-Dacs’ Leaselink e-procurement platform, cutting time, errors and administration as well as speeding up time to market.

The new multi-lingual version would open up the solution to customers on the European mainland and comes as Ebbon-Dacs plans for a number of other features. These include new invoicing functionality that will enable customers to raise invoice details against their vehicle movements, which will in turn link with external invoicing platforms, plus a new tracking and communication module that will allow more accurate tracking and planning of vehicle delivery and collection times.

The enhancements follow recent updates that include new mobile phone and vans capability.

The changes come as the platform hits an all-time record with more than 30,000 movements in a single month. The new milestone was set in March when both moDel and the moDel-VM stand-alone version accounted for some 30,418 vehicle movements compared to 18,636 movements in the same month last year – an increase of 63% and the highest the system has yet achieved.

MoDel also set a record for the first quarter, chalking up almost 70,000 vehicle movements on behalf on dealer groups, leasing companies, rental suppliers and logistics providers – up more than 84% compared to around 37,000 vehicle movements in the first quarter of 2017.

MoDel is used by some 17 major contract hire and leasing companies in the UK for vehicle transactions and was deployed in April by the UK’s largest contract hire and leasing firm, Lex Autolease. Other firms using the technology include ALD Automotive, Alphabet GB, Arval UK, Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, Inchcape Fleet Solutions, LeasePlan and Volkswagen Financial Services.

Ebbon-Dacs’ commercial head – moDel, Michael Terry, said: “MoDel has become the UK’s benchmark system for fully automated vehicle collection and delivery within the fleet market.”
