Enterprise launches Enterprise Plus rewards scheme in Europe

The scheme is currently run throughout the UK, France, Germany, Ireland, the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. In the coming months, Enterprise Plus will extend to include Enterprise branches in Spain and other locations throughout Europe.

Benefits include free rental days across more than 6,500 locations, free vehicle upgrades, priority member-only check-in at numerous locations and a dedicated phone line for faster service. Users’ contracts are also pre-populated with information, which results in much faster transactions at the rental desk.

Registration is easy and customers can redeem points earned on the Enterprise Rent-A-Car website within minutes.

The firm adds that unlike some reward programmes, Enterprise Plus points can be redeemed at any time on any available vehicle at any location in current participating countries – and there are no “blackout” dates when points cannot be redeemed. Points do not expire as long as the member rents a vehicle at least once every three years.

Points can be accrued on all qualifying rentals, that is, on vehicles booked and paid for directly through Enterprise Rent-A-Car call lines and websites. Points can also be earned on rental add-ons such as GPS, car racks and ski racks.

With Enterprise Plus members renting more frequently, they can quickly rise to Silver, Gold or Platinum membership status to gain access to further reward options until the end of the next programme year.

Rob Ingram, Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s European director of business development, said: ‘Enterprise Plus is an important step in bringing more value to our car hire customers across the globe. Business travellers value speed above almost anything else. With dedicated queues and pre-populated contracts they will spend much less time picking up their vehicle.

‘As companies increasingly turn to rental as a vital link in their ground transportation worldwide, they are looking to extract more benefit from each and every hire. We appreciate that many businesses rely on Enterprise for business travel and employee mobility, and Enterprise Plus is one of the ways we can demonstrate that our customers are extremely important to us.’
