The move follows Enterprise’s major pan-European expansion programme both through acquisition and the appointment of franchisee partners. The firm now offers one of the largest European car hire networks, which covers 29 countries from Turkey in the east through to Ireland in the west.

Enterprise already has established relationships with American Express Travel and BCD Travel in the US in order to meet the needs of business travellers in North America but said that these new partnerships in Europe 'will enable inbound business travellers from all parts of the world to access a car hire network that is renowned for its customer care'.

Rob Ingram, director of business development Europe at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, added: ‘Enterprise has always been proud of its heritage with business travellers in North America and within its wholly owned European markets. We now have the network across Europe to provide businesses with high value and outstanding service wherever they need to be.

‘Partnering so closely with the travel management industry in Europe is an important step in our ambitious growth plans. Travel management companies offer vital services and advice to businesses looking for the most effective transport solutions. Through outstanding customer care and the right car hire solutions, our aim is to be the company of choice for all business car rental in Europe.’

Enterprise is currently available in Ireland, the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Greece, Croatia, Turkey and Bulgaria.

Later this year, Enterprise will become operational in Switzerland, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic and Israel.
