Europcar Group has opened new franchises in nine countries for its Europcar and InterRent brands.

The new franchises for Europcar cover Israel (28 stations), Lebanon (two stations), Rwanda (two stations), Senegal (four stations), Cambodia (two stations), Guatemala (two stations) and Mali (two stations). The InterRent brand now operates in Dubai’s airport and in Chile (three stations).

At the end of 2016, 2,035 stations were operated as franchises throughout the world.

Marcus Bernhardt, managing director of the International Coverage Business Unit, said: “Enlarging our presence worldwide and being able to offer our mobility services and high quality standards everywhere is part of our group international strategy.

“Our objective is to develop our presence in countries where the group did not previously have enough presence, especially in the Middle East region.”
