The programme offers selected organisations an opportunity to verify their innovative CAM solutions at pace. Government grant funding is awarded to UK-based organisations within the CAM sector, and those from adjacent sectors who aim to pivot solutions into the market.

Now in its third year, the programme enables successful innovators to demonstrate that their products are ready to operate in real-world environments through the CAM Testbed UK.

This can then accelerate delivery to market, build partnerships, attract investments, and deliver products to the market better and faster.

David Skipp, chair of CAM Working Group, UK Automotive Council, said: “An exemplar of creativity and collaboration, the CAM Scale-Up programme combines innovation from the start-up community with CAM Testbed UK facilities, and industrial expertise to accelerate development of new CAM products and technologies. An exciting and effective way to grow the emerging UK CAM sector by starting small, thinking big and moving fast.”

This year’s Connected and Autonomous Scale-Up Programme closes for applications on 15 July.
