In France, the UK and Germany the increase rate was below 10% but Italy and Spain saw more significant growth with figures of + 18.8% and + 29.9% respectively.

Although the increase rates in France and Germany seem to be rather moderate the True Fleet Market registrations in absolute figures reached a new record for a February in both countries and the best February volume in the UK since start of monitoring in 2004, In all five markets the volume was significantly higher than in the previous year.

The Private Market grew by 3.6% overall, driven by Spain with a increase of +25.7%, while the registrations in France and Germany decreased compared to last year.

Within the Top 10 brands in fleet, Volkswagen and Peugeot performed very well. Market leader Volkswagen increased its registrations in all five markets (EU-5 +19.4%). Peugeot was able to extend its registrations by 28.5% and jumped in fourth place gaining two positions in the ranking.

Looking at the model league table, the Peugeot 308 saw strong growth (+ 91.4% compared to February 2014) and came in fourth position in the EU-5 model ranking behind the Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Passat and Renault Clio. The 208 contributed as well entering the Top-10 with a growth of 21.2%.

However, model choice varied significantly across the different markets. In France the Clio is the preferred fleet model in February 2015. In Germany it’s the Volkswagen Passat and in Italy, Spain and the UK the models Fiat Panda, Seat Leon and Opel / Vauxhall Astra are number one.
