IM Group, which also has operations in the UK, Nordic and Chinese markets, has 30 years’ experience in the Republic of Ireland, where it is already the importer and distributor for Subaru and Great Wall.

Following the acquisition, all Citroen Motors Ireland employees will transfer to IM Group but continue to operate as a standalone organisation under managing director Chris Graham. In turn, he will report to Paul Tunnicliffe, head of franchises for the group’s UK and Ireland business.

IM Group will oversee the ongoing differentiation between the Citroen and DS brands in Ireland, as well as its planned volume growth. Sales will continue through the existing retail network.

“Citroën and DS in Ireland have a strong model line-up and a well-organised dealer network, together creating the momentum to flourish,” said Graham. “We are bullish about the brands’ opportunities for future growth, and we look forward to working with employees, dealers and customers to realise this success.”
