Set to be unveiled in Korea at the end of this month ahead of a European debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, the third-generation Sorento will feature dramatic quality improvements according to the brand.

Kia says the model’s cabin will ‘raise the bar in luxury’ thanks to a modern, wrap-around dashboard, high quality soft-touch materials and a range of advanced on-board technologies.

Styling for the Sorento has been shared between the brand’s design studios in Korea, Germany and the USA, with interior styling led by the brand's design team in Frankfurt, which cited the finest modern Swiss watches as a key influence during the design phase.

The cabin features a higher proportion of soft-touch materials, leather and stitching, as well as Kia's latest HMI (human-machine interface). There’s also a large infotainment screen.

As previously revealed, the new car also gains a more prominent version of Kia’s “Tiger Nose” grille, with LED-lined rear lights adding a premium feel to the back end, and a shallow roofline like the smaller Sportage crossover.

The new version is expected to retain the outgoing car’s seven-seat configuration and a choice of two or four-wheel drive models, catering for its towcar and corporate fanbase.
