The Mazda6e is set to offer class-leading residual values for fleets – and operators can see it first at tomorrow’s Great British Fleet Event.

Revealed at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show, the Mazda6e will arrive in the UK this summer and reinvents the Mazda6 for the electric age.

With stylish premium saloon proportions combined with hatchback functionality, the Mazda6e is on display at tomorrow’s GBFE in Milton Keynes where fleets can check it out ahead of the first customer deliveries in the summer.

Coinciding with this, the latest CAP Gold Book data for April shows the Mazda6e has a class-leading residual value prediction of 58.3% – ahead of seven key segment rivals including the Tesla Model 3, BYD Seal, Polestar 2 and Volkswagen ID.7.

Reimagining the legacy of the Mazda6 – a fleet favourite in the UK through three generations from 2002 to 2023 ­– the all-electric Mazda6e brings a fresh, modern perspective to a highly regarded nameplate.

Available with a single 78kWh battery specification, the 6e features a modern flowing exterior, sleek cabin design and Mazda’s famed focus on the experience from behind the wheel, ensuring it will be a popular choice for company car drivers looking for a new BEV.

In the last few months, 30 leasing companies have been shown the car and more than 120 end-used customer firms have seen the car in person.

Tomlinson added that the Mazda6e arrives at the perfect time this summer, providing a fantastic and timely addition to the brand’s multi-solution range of hybrid and electric vehicles.

“The fleet team has been busy showing the car to leasing companies and the feedback has been great with lots of positive comments on the monthly cost, interior quality, styling and the practical hatchback body style.

“As a value proposition it’s even more tempting when you see the huge tally of equipment and technology fitted as standard across both the Takumi and Takumi Plus and we have no doubt that its blend of style, value, practicality and desirability will win over user-chooser company car drivers and be a hit with salary sacrifice customers too.”

While mainland Europe gets a choice of two batteries, the UK-specification Mazda6e offers a streamlined line-up with a single 78kWh LFP battery that combines a best of both worlds approach in terms of range, performance and charging times. Combined WLTP range is 348 miles, while 10 to 80% charging on a 195kW DC charger takes just 24 minutes. With 258hp of power, the rear-wheel-drive Mazda6e will reach 62mph in 7.9 seconds and, with 290Nm of torque, delivers great real-world performance.

The Mazda6e debuts a refined ‘Kodo Soul of Motion’ design, blending a short-deck coupé silhouette with modern, illuminated features such as a glowing, functional signature wing. It features an aerodynamic, 19-inch wheel design and an active rear spoiler, while the interior emphasises space through the Japanese concept of ‘Ma’ with a panoramic roof and premium, sustainable material options

The smart driver-focused cockpit features a 14.6-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch instrument set, complemented by an augmented reality head-up display. Available to configure and order now, the first Mazda6e will debut at tomorrow’s Great British Fleet Event ahead of its arrival this summer.
