Revealed in official pictures, the Outlander PHEV Concept-S brings a special design package for the production Outlander PHEV.

As previously announced, the exterior and interior design are created under "Sporty and Sophisticated" design theme.

The front-end bears the Three-Diamond mark with bold chromed accent mouldings on either side to give a 3D effect, enhanced by wraparound headlamps, with similar chrome detailing at the rear.

The body colour uses a brilliant “Platinum White” with glass flake finish.

Inside, the model uses a “Black & Burgundy” colour scheme for a refined approach along with a focus on quality – details include black wood grain trim with silver accent, a centre console designed inspired by Japanese traditional black lacquered boxes and soft fine leather, hand-stitched by craftsmen selected for the seat upholstery, which also employs a 3D effect.

Power comes from the existing Plug-in Hybrid EV System used in the Outlander PHEV, which uses a four-cylinder 2.0-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a 12kWh lithium-ion battery.

At the Paris Motor show, Mitsubishi will be displaying a total of 11 vehicles including the Outlander PHEV rally car that competed in the FIA Asia Cross Country Rally 2014, European specification production models, the i-MiEV and other electric powered vehicles comprising pure EVs and plug-in hybrids.
