New Renault Kangoo offers extra fleet-friendly features

By / 11 years ago / News / No Comments

The latest Kangoo range features a new front-end in line with the brand’s new styling as well as a number of design changes to distinguish between the passenger car, van and Z.E. versions. These include a new black textured front bumper for the van version to provide more resistance to everyday small scrapes.

Business customers can now benefit from three front seats for each one of the different length options, making Kangoo Compact the only van with a capacity of less than 2.8m3 to be available with this arrangement.

The new range also sees the launch of two MPV versions, including the Kangoo Business, which has been designed for intensive fleet use.

This model features the van version’s grain-finished black protective features such as the wraparound front bumper, the rear bumper, protective mouldings for the top of the back swing doors, the side protective mouldings, the exterior door handles and the door mirror housings.

The interior has also been geared towards intensive use and includes Titane black upholstery that shows less dirt and a black plastic trim for the armrest of the central stowage console, while the door panels are made of a particularly resistant material to cope with intensive use.

As a result of the new models, the full range now includes 15 versions, with 12 van versions offering a cargo volume from 2.3 and 4.6m3. This includes the newKangoo all-electric Z.E., which is also available in two and five-seat “Maxi” form.

The new range also sees the introduction of new features for greater carrying capacity. This includes a flat floor to help with extra-long loads, which is available for Kangoo, Grand Kangoo, Kangoo Maxi 5-Seat and Crew Cab. There’s also a sliding rear roof flap for tall loads on both passenger and LCV versions and multipurpose roof rails to fit a roof box, available on passenger versions only.

The new range also features technology upgrades including the availability of the connected Renault R-Link multimedia system.

Order books have been open in France since February, and new Kangoo is due to appear in showrooms across Europe from June 2013.
