New Škoda all-electric seven-seater flagship named Peaq
Škoda has confirmed that a new all-electric seven-seater will debut this summer, positioned at the top of its model range.
Sitting above the Enyaq, the flagship model will be called Peaq to denote its range-topping status.
Škoda previewed the model back in August 2022 with the Vision 7S concept, signposting the brand’s future direction, shaped by sustainability, functional design and cutting-edge technology.
The Peaq now brings the ideas of the Vision 7S concept into series production and is designed “for modern families and everyday explorers alike”.
The Czech carmaker says the Peaq has been designed with a strong focus on the well-known and trusted brand values: space, practicality and comfort.
The seven-seater layout will appeal to “families and everyone who wants to combine work, leisure, and the freedom to travel and explore”, underscoring its focus on private and business drivers.
The Peaq will also put “user-friendliness and well thought-out Simply Clever solutions at the heart of its design”.
Martin Jahn, head of sales and marketing, said: “With the Vision 7S, we entered new territory for Škoda, with a clear idea of how to elevate the brand. Since then, we have introduced a new design language and further refined our product identity. Now we are bringing this innovative vehicle concept to life.
“Our new flagship model takes our brand values of spaciousness and practicality to a whole new level. As of today, our bold vision for Škoda’s electric future has a name: Peaq – a clear statement of where this model belongs in our portfolio.”
Further details are expected in the run-up to the world premiere of Škoda’s new flagship model this summer.
