New Tesla Superchargers open up travel to Barcelona and Rome

Marked out as the carmaker’s first Supercharger in Spain, the first station is in Girona, Catalonia, about 60 miles from Barcelona, Catalonia. The Supercharger has four stalls and it is linked to the European network via Narbonne station in France. The new station means Tesla drivers can easily reach Barcelona and popular holiday destinations along the Costa Brava.

Meanwhile, Tesla’s sixth Supercharger station in Italy – as well as its largest in Europe – has been opened up at Aosta. The Supercharger comprises 14 stalls, distributed on both sides of the A5 highway. This station is also solar powered, with 203m² of panels covering the roof of the structure and providing emission-free electricity.

Together, the new stations make trips from northern to southern Europe even easier, opening routes from Tromso to Barcelona or from Manchester to Rome.

In less than two years, Tesla has installed 901 Superchargers at 164 Supercharger stations across Europe. The latest two locations expand the network even further.
