Omoda&Jaecoo becomes fastest brand to hit one million sales globally
Omoda&Jaecoo has officially become the fastest brand house to pass one million global sales, hitting the benchmark in under three years.
This rapid expansion across four continents, confirmed during Auto China 2026 (aka the Beijing Auto Show), underscores the brand’s accelerating international success as it unveils a series of new initiatives spanning product, technology and long-term global development.
Omoda&Jaecoo, first launched in 2023, said its ‘Born Global, Born Green, Born Unique’ strategic positioning had enabled it to scale at pace across both established and highly regulated markets. This includes Europe and right-hand-drive regions such as the UK, where the brand has quickly established a strong foothold. In just three years, Omoda&Jaecoo has expanded into 64 countries and regions worldwide.
Its growth trajectory is borne out by a record-breaking performance in March 2026, during which the carmaker delivered 61,254 vehicles globally, representing a 210% year-on-year increase.
Electrified vehicles continue to be a central driver of this momentum, with 39,716 ‘New Energy Vehicles’ (NEVs) sold in the same period, up 471% compared to March 2025; all powered by proprietary powertrains from parent Company Chery International.
In the UK, the brand also recorded a landmark moment last month, with the Jaecoo 7 becoming the best-selling car in the market, while Omoda&Jaecoo also confirmed at Auto China that the Omoda 4 will launch in the UK in Q4 2026.
The Ford Puma and Renault Captur rival was showcased late last year, and the first Omoda 4 to roll off the production line was on display at Auto China 2026 as a full hybrid, bearing the SHS-H branding.
Designed with a strong emphasis on future-facing design, ‘Cyber Mecha’ and digital integration, the model reflects Omoda&Jaecoo’s focus on “appealing to a new generation of globally connected customers, combining distinctive styling with advanced intelligent features”.
In parallel with this, the company also used the Auto China 2026 to emphasise the continued advancement of its original Super Hybrid System (SHS), which has been positioned as a core pillar of the brand’s electrification strategy. Designed to deliver a balance of performance, efficiency and extended range, SHS is intended to” provide a compelling solution for customers navigating rising fuel costs and evolving mobility needs”.
Alongside its hybrid technology showcase, Omoda&Jaecoo also presented the global debut of its Valet Parking Driver (VPD) intelligent parking technology. Introduced to international media for the first time, the system was demonstrated through dedicated experience zones, allowing participants to engage directly with its functionality and highlighting its potential to enhance everyday usability through advanced driver-assistance capabilities.
The wider programme, spanning both the Beijing Auto Show and the Chery International Business Summit in Wuhu, brought together global media, partners and stakeholders, reinforcing Omoda&Jaecoo’s ambition to scale as a truly international brand. Europe was positioned as a key pillar of this strategy, with continued expansion across the region.
Gary Lan, CEO of Omoda&Jaecoo UK, said: “Reaching one million global sales in under three years marks an important milestone for Omoda&Jaecoo and reflects the progress made through our global strategy. From the outset, our brand house has been focused on international growth, supported by technology, design and an understanding of customer needs.
“This milestone highlights the progress to date and the opportunities ahead. With continued growth across Europe and an expanding presence in the UK, we are focused on the next phase of development, supported by new products, ongoing investment in electrification and a commitment to innovation.”
