The keys were handed over by Eric Lemonnier, the head of Renault Tech, and the head of MCA, Jose Martin Vega, to Hélène Billon, representing Orange.

The vehicle was built at the Maubeuge plant, and modified to meet customer requirements by the on-site Renault Tech workshop.

Based in Heudebouville, France, Renault Tech specialises in vehicle conversions for consumers and business customers and has 12 satellite workshops inside Group plants, including Maubeuge, making it the only conversion entity to be fully integrated with a vehicle manufacturer. As a result, Renault says it is able to build made-to-measure vehicles for its customers without wasting time and in accordance with group quality standards.

Renault Tech carried out a total of 121,101 conversions in 2013, of which 23,540 involving Kangoo vehicles, accounting for 20% of Kangoo output. Conversions for business fleets account for 18% of its activity.
