Prices announced for new Mercedes E-Class

Priced from €45,303.30, the new E-Class will be initially available with three engines at market launch. These include the 148hp four-cylinder petrol in the E200 plus the new 195hp four-cylinder diesel in the E220d (available from €47,1241) with an official combined fuel consumption of 3.9l/100km and 102g/km. The third variant, which starts deliveries in June 2016, is the E350 d (available from €55,602.751) featuring a 258hp V6 diesel engine. All three models are equipped with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission as standard.

Standard equipment includes Active Brake Assist, the Pre-Safe system with Pre-Safe Sound, automatic climate control, DYNAMIC SELECT with five selectable transmission modes, the Audio 20 USB infotainment system and electrically adjustable front seats.

New options include multi-chamber air suspension and the Driving Assistance package, which includes Steering Pilot with Active Lane-change Assistant and Distance Pilot Distronic with extended automatic restart in traffic jams and Speed Limit Pilot.

There’s also a Remote Parking Pilot system on offer and a digital vehicle key that allows the driver's smartphone to be used as a vehicle key.
