The vans form part of PSA’s commitment to have plug-in hybrid or electric versions of all new models starting in 2019, with electrified variants of each model available by 2025.

Joining the existing Partner and Berlingo Electric compact vans, the Peugeot Boxer Electric and Citroën Relay Electric large vans will be offered with two battery options that bring a range of 141 miles (225km) on the NEDC cycle for the length L1 and L2, and 169 miles (270km) based on NEDC cycle for the lengths L3 and L4. The vehicles are produced at the Sevel factory in Val di Sangro (Atessa, Italy) and converted by the BD OTO partner.

PSA will also launch electric versions of the Peugeot Expert, Citroën Dispatch and Vauxhall Vivaro in 2020.

Other PSA reveals at Birmingham include the CV Show debuts of the new Berlingo and Partner vans, which are now available in four trims, while the Peugeot stand also features the most popular variant of the Boxer panel van, the 335 L3 H2 BlueHDi 130 Professional.

The Citroën Dispatch – which was launched at the CV Show three years ago – is also present at the CV show along with a Citroën Dispatch Enterprise M while the Citroën Relay Ready to Run conversions range is represented on the Citroën stand by a Relay Low-Floor Luton L3 model powered by the BlueHDi 160 engine.

Citroën has also marked its centenary year by bringing along one of its landmark LCV models, the Type H-van was launched in 1947.
