The two firms are working together on projects that ‘combine their visions of an eco-system which allies electric mobility with sustainable construction’. This includes research on several joint projects, such as the optimisation of recharging systems for electric vehicles in car parks and the use of old electric vehicle batteries to improve the energy efficiency of buildings.

At the handover of the Renault ZOE, Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn said: ‘Renault is delighted to be able to support large firms like Bouygues in their commitment to sustainable development with zero-emission vehicles.’

Martin Bouygues added: ‘I am delighted to acquire this Renault ZOE. It symbolises our commitment to soft mobility, which we aim to promote by making infrastructure more electric vehicle-friendly."
