‘Revolutionary’ AI-powered fleet decarbonisation report launched

A new Decarbonisation Planning Report that solves the complex and expensive EV transition in just a matter of days is now available for fleets.

The report identifies which vehicles could move to alternative fuels, how routes could be changed to suit, and which depots and locations will need charging

Created by fleet optimisation software provider, the report delivers a complete analysis of how to decarbonise in a matter of days at a fraction of the cost and complexity found elsewhere.

All fleets of any size have to do is supply their telematics or routing data to Dynamon which, using its existing predictive software, will build and send a full report in a few days with the help of artificial intelligence.

The report will, among many detailed results, identify which vehicles could move to alternative fuels, how routes could be changed to suit and which depots and locations will need charging, and at what level.

Developed to fulfil the requirements of fleet managers looking to transition to electric or alternative fuels, it’s especially seen as a game-changing solution for those who are stretched in terms of time and resource.

Research – and hundreds of conversations with fleet managers – by Dynamon identified there is huge desire to decarbonise.

But for many businesses, analysing their fleet and putting together a cohesive operational and financial plan for transitioning to alternative fuels, which can be supported by senior management, takes too long and costs too much money.

Dynamon’s new Decarbonisation Planning Report solves this “impasse” by eliminating “long lead times and numerous meetings” and the need to spend months consulting.

Dynamon’s open approach about the cost of its Decarbonisation Planning Report ensures transparency and “turbocharges” fleet managers’ ability to begin the transition process.

Said to be up to 80% lower than equivalent reports, prices start at £4,990 (excl. VAT) for fleet sizes below 50 and rise to £10,990 (excl. VAT) for those from 200-300 vehicles. There are significant discounts for fleets above 300 in size too.

For every customer, the report will include electric vehicle rollout strategies, charging and power requirements, total cost of ownership implications, projected emission reductions, capital purchase projections, and low-carbon alternatives when electric doesn’t suit.

“It truly is a revolutionary, disruptive service that will change the fleet landscape,” Webb added.

Dynamon will continue to provide its software for consultants, OEMs, infrastructure providers and leasing companies, as well as supporting larger fleets and special projects with its bespoke consultancy service. But Webb said there are thousands of fleets out there who just need answers now, and again in future.

“What we intend to do is offer a discount for multi-year use, at a highly competitive cost, so any business can look at this issue whenever they need, without worrying it will consume vast amounts of resource, time and budget.”

Dynamon also believes that the savings highlighted in reports – such as through total cost of ownership modelling, which shows that vehicles with smaller, cheaper batteries still have a role, and that costly high-power chargers aren’t necessary – will easily outweigh the cost of purchasing the report.

“Because of the cost of the report it’s simple to prove its worth, just through procurement optimisation alone. For example, our data shows the £5,000 cost of installing a 22kW charger is typically a sixth of a 50kW one, while a van with a 50kWh battery can be around £25,000 less to buy than a 90kWh version,” he said.

“If the report shows a business can make just one or two of these types of procurement decisions and still be operationally viable, it will have already paid for itself many times over, and that’s even before you get into other cost-saving scenarios.”
